What happens when we contact you?We like to start by arranging a meeting and thoroughly discussing the details of the project with you. We establish what you do and don’t like and the nature and purpose of the project. When we are happy that we have enough information to work with, we will begin the project by researching ideas, brainstorming, and then creating visual design concepts to present back to you. We take on board all aspects of feedback and make any requested amendments until our client is happy. Are you very expensive?We are so keen to show off our creative ability and fantastic business solutions to potential new clients, that often we can generate concepts and pitch for your business free of charge. If the project is really big, then we will only charge the necessary fees to cover our costs. We will however, be able to deduct this from the full project cost if you choose to stick with our concepts and continue developing them. Can you produce brand guidelines for other designers to follow?If Atlantis Media are responsible for designing your logo and corporate identity then we recommend producing a Brand Bible. This will illustrate the rules of your brand to other designers who will need it to maintain a consistent brand identity for your company. The document will detail how to use your logo, colours, fonts and where to place certain elements on a page. It will also express what not to do. Do you print in-house?We do not have in-house printing facilities but we do have many excellent printing contacts and would be happy to source the perfect print solution for you. Are you able to write my copy?We offer copywriting services for a range of printed material as well as website content. This does come as an additional cost but is a good idea if you do not have the time to dedicate to writing the copy for your website. It is also a professional service which ensures that your copy is consistent and incorporating all the essential keywords to help with site optimisation purposes. I don't know what certain technical words mean, can you help?We are proud of the way we simplify things. Our quote documents are simply laid out and clear to understand, with explanations for areas that we don’t expect everybody to know about. We show all the elements included in the cost of your project so as you can clearly see what you are getting for your money. We are always at the end of the phone waiting to answer your questions. How is design work delivered?All completed design work will be submitted in the required file formats for its purpose. We can supply the electronic files to you on CD, or through email, but ideally we would want to present them to you in person and make sure we have included every aspect of your brief. What are your payment terms?We request a 25% deposit on agreement on the project. The final balance will be invoiced on completion of the work and must be paid within 28 days of the invoice date. Payment can be sent by cheque or BACS transfer. If an annual retainer is in place, a monthly/quarterly invoice will be issued for the agreed fee. Who owns the copyright and intellectual property rights of work produced by Atlantis Media?Once we have received full payment, we release all intellectual property rights on the design and copyright is yours. With the exception that we reserve the right to feature the work in our portfolio and our own self promotional material. Can you host my website?Yes, we can take care of the hosting for you new website with a domain name that you already own or one we newly reregister for you. Hosting costs may vary due to the amount of web space required but we will show you a clear breakdown of these costs within your quote document. Are you able to register domain names?Yes we can register global and UK domain names of your choice, subject to availability. This can be a .com, .co.uk, .net, .biz, .org, and various other domains depending on the nature of your organisation. Will I be able to edit the content on my new website?We can build an integrated CMS system to allow you to edit particular content of your website. This can be basic or comprehensive depending on the quantity of information you wish to have access to edit. This could reduce website maintenance costs if you are regularly updating sections of the website. What is CMS?A Content Management System (CMS) is a piece of software which allows our clients to take control over editing the copy of their website. We create a database to store, manage and retrieve content as requested, and allows frequent content changes to keep up to date with the information you supply to clients. What is SEO?Search engine optimisation (SEO) refers to a variety of options available for enhancing the position of your website found in search engine results, for example google. A website will only benefit your business if it can easily be found amongst competitors. So it is a very worth while investment to ensure that you rank highly with the most popular companies when potential clients search for your services online. Having the right text and structure to your website, and links from popular websites are generally a good starting point.
